New Residential Clinic for Ex-Racehorses
Monday 11th August 2008 - Just Two Places Left!
at the British Racing School, Newmarket

Following on from the success of Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) lecture demos, held around the country and supported by Baileys Horse Feeds, the RoR are organising a 3 day residential training clinic, starting on Monday 11August 2008, at the British Racing School in Newmarket.

British Eventing accredited coach and four star event rider Nick Turner will be working with attendees and their horses to help them improve their partnerships no matter what discipline they are aiming towards. Only 12 spaces are available to RoR registered horses and at just £150 each these are expected to go very quickly! Each day there will be two training sessions per combination, either in groups or pairs, and visits to Newmarket’s National Stud, Racing Museum and a trainer’s yard will be fitted around the busy schedule, as well as expert advice from a vet and nutritionist. B & B accommodation and DIY stabling are included on site in the price as well!

You can register your horse with the RoR online for FREE. To book your clinic place, please contact darbuthnot@ror.org.uk or call Di on 01488 648998 or 07836 293191.

Karen Dixon Demonstrating at Next RoR Day
Friday 21 November 2008

Northern Racing College, Doncaster

After many requests for another Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) lecture demo, a new date has been announced. Supported by Baileys Horse Feeds and run in conjunction with RoR, the industry’s official ex-racehorse charity, this latest clinic is to be held at the Northern Racing College, near Doncaster, on Friday 21 November.  The day will be ideal for those who have bought, or are considering buying, an ex-racehorse and want to learn more about introducing them to ‘ordinary’ life.

The morning session sees a team of experts explain what to expect from your ex-racehorse, how to feed it and discuss some of the more common veterinary issues which may need to be overcome, with plenty of time for questions.  After lunch, Olympic and International Eventer, Karen Dixon MBE, will be helping some ‘guinea pigs’ with their ex-racehorses, demonstrating how to improve their way of going and her practical, down-to-earth approach to schooling, and reschooling, horses at all stages of their training.

Tickets are £25 including lunch.  Contact Sam Gurden at Baileys Horse Feeds for more info and to book.  Telephone 01371 853676 or email sam@baileyshorsefeeds.co.uk.  More info on the Retraining of Racehorses visit www.ror.org.uk
